The inability to save items is occurring when cheat mode is enabled, despite the mode not being actively utilized.	The game may incorrectly flag instances of cheating when cheat mode is enabled, regardless of actual cheat usage. Due to current limitations, a direct fix is unavailable. To ensure proper item saving and to avoid false cheat detection, users must disable cheat mode and chaos mode via the exit button on the main menu, then re-enter the game. This will allow for normal gameplay and item persistence.
